Contemporary, yet timeless. The P01 coincides with the birth of Panchic. Whether in an ankle boot, lace-up or Beatle boot version, it has been the star of every collection, maintaining its DNA and strengths so firmly that it has become the very symbol of the brand.
And so, as it blew out its 10 candles, the P01, the P01 turned 10! For the anniversary of the lace-up shoe and the ankle boot, as well as that of Panchic, the designer and illustrator Nicola Laurora aka Nico 189 was asked to create 10 ultra-pop customisations. Nico 189's background as a graffiti writer and a style characterised by clean lines, patterns and geometric shapes is expressed in an explosion of juxtaposed colours or in smaller, more understated details. The starting idea is that of a Panchic Future City, whose urban elements can be deconstructed and scattered on the shoes, creating an abstract, fun and futuristic symbolism. Flower-shaped basketball courts, monochrome rainbows, pink or deep green maxi leaves, portions of sky-coloured stairs, electric blue arches... the fun of bringing graphics to life is irresistible!

P01's clean aesthetics and playful soul have favoured its success over the years, which has been maintained above all thanks to its intrinsic characteristics: the choice of raw materials with a low environmental impact and a Made in Italy production based on the short supply chain model. A sustainable approach that extends to all the brand's products and goes beyond the footwear, also involving the company processes and their respect for human resources.
Indeed, the P01 is the result of an ingenious idea to reuse raw material inventories accumulated during the company's collaboration with private labels. The result of an innovative processing system that eliminates specific phases of the production cycle, thus reducing production times, the P01 is a suede ankle boot with colourful wide-weave laces, enriched with faux fur lining for the winter version and organic cotton for the summer version. Synonymous with clean lines, lightness and functionality, the P01 expresses a perfect balance between design and comfort.
The Special Edition is almost here and will be available on the new panchic.com e-store and in selected multi-brand stores from December 2021.
