It all starts with a pattern, a two-dimensional representation of all the components of the shoe... which are many: quarter, back counter, heel, tongue, collar, to name but a few. Each shoe is unique and may present variations, all of which must be reproduced with the utmost precision.
The pattern is the reference used for cutting the leather, the first and most important step in creating the shoe. After that, four processes that make up the upper are carried out manually by footwear craftsmen and craftswomen and by staff who have developed their skills thanks to the "Panchic school". First, hemming, which gives the initial lines of the cut components thanks to machine stitching; second, shaping, which allows the heel and toe to be shaped thanks to a special machine. Third and last, application of the insole and edging, a process exclusive to Panchic, which translates visually into the visible stitching along the entire perimeter of the P01.
